About Us

SouthHills Church is a community of people embracing the message of love, acceptance and forgiveness through Christ Jesus, and seeking to grow as Devoted, Loving, Generous and Contagious people of faith.

 

With God’s help, we aim to encourage both young people and adults to grow in their pursuit of knowing God, walking with God and reflecting God’s character through attitudes and actions. With respect and authenticity, we aim to steward our time, resources and talents in order to share this message of good news and help others honor God and find their rightful place in the body of Christ.

 

The tree is a metaphor for our life in Christ. Just as a simple seed matures into a strong and life-giving member of the entire ecosystem, we too can discover our full potential when rooted and established in the love of Christ. With the DNA of our Creator-God flowing in and through our lives, we can expect to bear kingdom fruit and reproduce His love to those around us.

 

Roots—Represent our DEVOTION to God and our trust in His love and pursuit of Him as our source.

 

Trunk/Branches—Represent our LOVING expression that all people matter to God and are deserving of acceptance and forgiveness.

 

Leaves/Fruit—Represent our GENEROUS attitude toward caring, helping and serving others as unto Christ.

 

Seeds—Represent our CONTAGIOUS influence. When the Spirit of Christ is able to flow in and through our lives, new life is inevitable!
